Our doctors, Rick and J.R. Chaille, a father-son team, both graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. Along with our staff, their primary goal is to offer quality care at an affordable cost to our community.
Our newly remodeled facility has the most recent technology, including heated-top surgery tables and surgical CO2 laser, digital monitoring and anesthetic dental cleanings.

Dr. Rick Chaille, DVM.
Owner & Founder
Dr. Rick Chaille grew up in Anderson, Indiana, and graduated from Purdue University Veterinary School in 1978. He practiced at Franklin Animal Clinic for several years where he learned all about the unique features of Columbus. He returned to Anderson and started a solo companion animal practice which he operated for over 25 years. During those years he provided the majority of the spay/neuter services to both the local animal shelter and humane society. Rick and his wife, Jean, have five children and eight grandchildren. The youngest of their children, sons Jack and J.R., followed in their fathers’ footsteps and are both practicing veterinarians in the Columbus/Seymour area. Rick enjoys family time, landscaping, water-skiing, and kayaking. He especially enjoys pre-dawn kayaking to watch the sunrise.
Bryan has been a veterinarian’s medical assistant for over 5 years after completing a course in “Veterinarian Assistance Program”. After working in both emergency and day practice facilities, he then moved from California to Columbus, Indiana, where both of his parents reside. An animal lover, he is a passionate caregiver to animals, with safety and well-being for pets being his main goal. He has two pets “Nugget”, a Jack Russell, and “Mr. Puddington”, an orange tabby feline.
Born and Raised in the Columbus area, Jenni has always had a love for animals. Growing up on a farm most of her life, she has taken care of a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to goats, sheep and pigs. At the age of 15 she started working for a local veterinarian, where her love of animals really took off. She then attended nursing school where she was valedictorian of her graduating class. She has worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 36 years. For the last 3 years she has also been the Animal Programs Manager at the Bartholomew County Humane Society. Jenni has two dogs, “Juno” and “Dixie”, and two cats , “Ren” and “Stumpy”. She has two children and one grandchild.

Julie’s love of animals and interest in helping them started her work in the veterinary field over 15 years ago. After living and working in North Carolina and Kentucky for several years, she returned to her hometown, Seymour, IN, to be near her family again. Julie likes to go hiking as much as possible with her best bud, a golden retriever named “Chesney”. Some of her other interests include playing the piano, watching Indianapolis Colts football, and visiting wineries.
