Our veterinary team at Columbus Veterinary Services is dedicated to providing the best care for animals. They have a genuine love for animals and take great joy in working in a veterinary setting. Always willing to lend a helping hand, our team members go above and beyond to ensure that each animal receives the utmost care and attention. They collaborate effectively with one another, exemplifying excellent teamwork in all aspects of their work.

Dr. JR Chaille, DVM

Dr JR was born and raised in Anderson, Indiana. He grew up working for his father and uncle, both small animal veterinarians. He attended Purdue University for both his undergraduate and veterinary degrees. After graduating, he worked at Seymour Animal Hospital for a year, before coming to Columbus Veterinary Services. He and his wife, Dr Justine, have two daughters, Penelope and Isabel, an old terrier, Hank, and two cats, Jimmy and Snuffy. Dr JR spends his free time playing with his daughters, baking, cooking, and target shooting.

Dr. Brad Schmitt, DVM

Dr. Brad was born and raised in Jasper, IN on a small grain and livestock farm that sparked his interest in veterinary medicine. He attended Purdue University for both his undergraduate and veterinary degrees, where he met his wife. Brad and his wife, Laura, have two young children, Melanie and Henry, who keep every day interesting and challenging. They also have a golden retriever named Dale. In his spare time, Brad enjoys spending time with family, camping, and skiing.
